The short version
The Tango app does not collect your data. It has no servers, no accounts and no analytics. Nothing you capture with Tango leaves your device unless you choose to share it yourself.
This policy covers the Tango app and this website (tangocamera.com).

The app: what we collect
Nothing. We do not collect, transmit, store, sell or share personal information through the app. Tango contains no analytics, advertising, tracking or crash-reporting software, and no third-party SDKs that gather information.
The app: what it accesses on your device
Tango asks for three permissions. Each is used only on your device, and none of the resulting data is sent to us.
- Camera. Captures from your front and rear cameras at the same time. The live preview is processed on the device and nothing is recorded until you press the shutter.
- Microphone. Records audio only while you are recording video.
- Photo library. Saves your captures to your library and a Tango album, and shows them in the app. Tango does not read, scan or upload photos it did not create.
You can revoke any permission in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security.
The app: what it stores on your device
Your preferences (such as default capture mode, layout and grid settings), your number of free saves used, and whether you've unlocked the full version. This stays in the app's storage on your device and is deleted when you delete the app.
Purchases
In-app purchases are processed entirely by Apple. We never see your name, payment details or Apple ID. Apple's privacy policy applies to that transaction. Apple gives us aggregated, anonymous sales and download reports.
Your captures
Photos and videos are saved to your device's photo library, where your own device and iCloud settings govern them. We never receive a copy. Anything you share goes through iOS and the app you share to, under their privacy policies.
This website
- Hosting. The site is hosted by Cloudflare Pages, which processes standard technical data (such as IP address and browser type) to deliver and secure the site.
- Analytics. We use privacy-friendly, cookie-free analytics to count visits in aggregate.
- Emails you send us. We use them only to reply to you.
Children
Tango is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone.
Your rights
Under the GDPR, the CCPA and Israel's Protection of Privacy Law you may ask to access, correct or delete personal data we hold. For the app there is nothing to access, because we hold nothing. For anything you emailed us, write to support@tangocamera.com and we'll respond within 30 days.
Changes
If Tango changes in a way that affects this policy, for example by adding optional analytics, we will update this page and the date above and tell you clearly in the app before anything changes.
